If your employer has ever done any of the following:
-Said you’re overpaid
-Guaranteed you’ll never get a raise
-Constantly reminded you that you’re overpaid
-Asked you to take a furlough while saying it’s voluntary
-Added duties for no extra pay but didn’t remove duties when offering a pay cut
Get your affairs in order ASAP and leave as soon as the opportunity presents itself.
The time for waiting around for Corporate America to get it together has long passed. Nobody will come to save you. Period.
I did this at the end of 2021 and after seven months of job searching, I hired myself. This was after:
-400+ applications
-55+ rejections
-6 failed interviews
